Moyvane

THE MARIAN HALL  Since we built the Marian Hall in the late 1990s we have been able run the building FREE OF CHARGE thanks to your support for Moyvane Bingo and the weekly Blotto. The hall belongs to the parish and should be available to all organisations and members of the parish. Up to now we have been able to run the building without charging an hourly rate as most other places do.  We are now in a different place.  We hope to be able to continue to do so into the future but we need your co-operation. Can I appeal to those of you who use the Marian Hall to please use only the lights you need. Please do not hit all the switches, be selective. Since February this year electricity has cost €4,500! Before the pandemic that amount covered the whole year and we still have two bills to go. We are now in a different place.

DIGITAL STAMPS Did you hear that An Post is rolling out digital stamps? This is how it works. You log in to the An Post website, pay for your digital stamps and you get a twelve digit code which you write on the top right hand corner of your envelope. You can post it in any postbox at any time. You can only post to Irish addresses at the moment. The system is not replacing regular stamps, you can still post using physical stamps. The main difference is, a regular stamp costs €1.25 but the digital stamp costs €2.00!
