OPENING: Scoil Chorp Chríost
Knockanure : The official opening/blessing of the new extension
at Scoil Chorp Chríost Knockanure will take place on Friday
evening May 18th at 7.45 p.m. Everybody is welcome to attend.
QUEEN of the May Procession take place at Corpus Christi Church,
Knockanure on Sunday 20th May, 2012 from 2.20pm to 3.30pm. A day
of Devotion, Benediction, Music and Hymns. Taking part on the
day will be Knockanure Choir. Music by Maire Begley O’Shea and
Stevie Donegan. All welcome.
ALERT: Knockanure Community Alert/Neighbourhood Watch meeting
takes place at The Community Centre on Thursday night 17th May,
2012 at 8pm. All members are asked to attend and anyone who
missed out on the first meeting, are welcome to come along. The
committee would like to see as many parishioners as possible
involved in the caring and sharing in the welfare of our
community.
CHERNOBYL Fundraising Afternoon Tea Dance will be held in the
Community Centre, Knockanure on Sunday May 20th from 3.30pm to

FIRST Communion celebrations were held in Knockanure Church on
Sat. May 12th 2012. Fr Lucid said the Mass, Stephen Donegan
played the Organ, the children and choir sang a variety of
hymns, lovely posters, flowers and inspirational slogans
decorated the church. A great day for the children, Parents,
grandparents and friends, there was sunshine also, which added
to the occasion. Best wishes to J J, Emmet, Darragh, Reece,
Katie and Rachel who received their First Communion. Thanks to
all who spent many hours making the preparations. Volunteerism
is alive and fruitful.

MARATHON: Women’s Mini Marathon. Locals Hannah Enright and her
sister Mary will run in this year’s Women’s Mini Marathon on
June 4th. All proceeds raised will go to the Alzheimer’s Respite
Care Facility at the Listowel Family Resource Centre. Further
