PARISH: To mark Youth Week April 20th to 26th Moyvane/Knockanure Parish Pastoral Council would like to include young people in the Vigil Mass Saturday April 20th 7.30pm. We are inviting young people to come forward and participate in this celebration to mark Youth Week. Parish Safeguarding Audit, the Diocesan Safeguarding Committee would like to thank all Parish Safeguarding Representatives, Priests, and Parish Secretaries for taking the time to complete the annual parish safeguarding audit. The results from the audit are included in the most recent safeguarding newsletter which is available on the diocesan website. It is particularly encouraging to see the increased number of youth-based ministries that are back up and running across the diocese. A special thank you to all involved in establishing these ministries

Thank you Tom! For Holy week in Knockanure parishioners took a little wooden cross from the Church and let it represent for them anyone they wished to pray for, or worry they have, or burden they are carrying. These were then returned to the altar on Good Friday for the Stations of the Cross and their intentions were remembered. We wish to offer a special Thank You to Tom Fitzgerald, Knockanure who made 80 of these little crosses Mile buiochas Tom.

DEATH of Patricia King, Bruach Na Gaile, Moyvane, on April 8th, 2024. Sadly missed by her family, neighbours and friends. A private funeral and Cremation has taken place for Patricia, as was her wish.

DEATH of Sister Imelda Kennelly, Sister of Charity of Jesus and Mary. Formerly of Finuge, St. Mary’s Delvin, Co. Westmeath and Ros Glas Convent, Moore Abbey, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Imelda- in her 97th year, died on 8th April 2024. Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family in Kerry, the U.K. and U.S.A; by the SCJM Community in Ireland and abroad. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, 11th April, in Moore Abbey Chapel, burial to follow in St. Evin’s Cemetery, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. CASHFLOW: Tirlán; The co-op also said it will establish an advance payment scheme which will offer “cashflow” support to suppliers. “The advance payment scheme is a voluntary scheme offering milk suppliers an advance on future milk payments of 5c/L (based on March milk volumes).

“The advance payment, which will be made to the trading accounts of participating milk suppliers, will offer approximately €3,000 of interest-free cashflow support to an average milk supplier and will be set off against actual milk payments due over the peak months of May, June and July of 2025,”Tirlán added.
