VINTAGE Day was held in Knockanure on Sunday last August 14th 2011.The crowd and displays were back from previous years, but the day was generally good with the odd blast of sunshine and showers. Several young people were introduced to sports, who knows one of them may follow in the footsteps of the Ahern Brothers who competed in Knockanure about 100 years ago. Great credit is due to the organisers and the vintage enthusiasts who put in countless hours of preparation to have things in order for us. A number of older supporters were unable to be with us this year, you are not forgotten.  The fine floral display by the Goulding Family in the Village was appreciated by all; it took a lot of planning, skill, time and care to bring so many plants to perfection at the same time.

PUCK Fair attracted many locals last week; it is a great meeting place for people from all walks of life. More on youtube and Knockanure.photobucket.
