MASS: First Anniversary Mass for both the late Billy Leahy, Trien, Kilmorna and late Michael Leahy, New York & Trien will be held on Friday 17th February at 7:30pm Knockanure Church.

PARISH: Confessions: Moyvane Saturday 6.45pm to 7.15pm. Eucharistic Adoration every Tues. after 10.00am Mass to 11.30am. Synod Update, 200 representatives from the Churches of Europe are gathering in Prague from 5th to 12th Feb. for the European Continental Assembly in preparation for this Autumn’s Synod in Rome. DEATH: on 9th February 2023 of Fr. Tim Galvin SPS, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Brosna & Abbeyfeale. Fr Tim’s sudden death is a great personal loss. For his parishioners in South Sudan his loss is incalculable. Fr. Tim, has served in Riwoto, South Sudan, for the Saint Patrick’s Missionary

Society since 2014. He had a great network of friends and supporters in Abbeyfeale and right around West Limerick and North Kerry.

DEATH of Seán Broderick, 5 St. Ita’s, Convent Street, Abbeyfeale and formerly of New Street, Abbeyfeale, on February 6th 2023, in his 97th year. Seán, husband of the late Vera, survived by daughters Marie Therese and Siobhán, sister Ita, sons-in-law Diarmuid and Andy, grandchildren Muireann, Cathal, Róisín, Gearóid and Niamh, sister-in-law Gemma, nephews, and nieces. Seán is predeceased by his brother Jimmy, sisters Margaret and Joan.

NEW Moon on the 20th. Birds are singing, new growth is appearing and the daffodil flowers are increasing. Big difference, half a century ago, people would be preparing their gardens, and almost every house had a cow or a goat.
