SCOIL Chorp Chríost Parents’ Association are having a Church Gate Collection at Masses in Moyvane on Saturday September 22nd & Sunday September 23rd 2012.

SCHEMES: A Information Officer was due to attend Knockanure Community Centre on Monday 17th September between 1 and 3.30pm, to advise on state schemes, please contact the centre on 068 49799.

RACING continues in Listowel to 22nd of Sept. The Wrenboys as usual will be the best night in the town.

IRISH Night at Brosnan’s Bar Moyvane on Sept. 20th at 9.30pm, sponsored by Moyvane GAA.

BADMINTON Training resumes on Monday September 24th – 5.30pm -6.30pm 3rd & 4th classes;  6.30pm – 7.30pm 5th & 6th class; Wednesday September 26th 5pm – 6pm 1st year to U16.

GREAT to see all the voluntary work being done by the Tidy Town groups, improvements are comtinuing year on year.

COURSE: North & East Kerry Development are running free courses in Listowel for women who wish to up-skill and find their way back into education, training or work.  Courses commence on September 19th & 20th for 12 weeks.  Enquiries to 068 23429.

DEATH took place of Fr. Michael Maher late of Smearla Bridge, Listowel and Asdee, on September 10th 2012. Fr. Michael is survived by his sister Ann. Requiem Mass for Fr. Maher was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church, Ballylongford. Requiem Mass 12th September 2012. Following Mass he was laid to rest in the church grounds, Ballylongford.

Death occurred of Ando Brosnan of Dromadabeg, Lyreacrompane on Sept. 9th  2012. Andrew (Ando) is survived by his wife Maureen and brother Patrick in Knocknagorna. Following requiem mass in Lyreacrompane Church, on September 11th, Ando was laid to rest in Lyreacrompane Cemetery.

CHURCH News; Sincere thanks to you who have dropped in Autumn Dues. Confessions every Saturday at 7.15pm before the Vigil Mass. Scriptural Reflection Group meet in the Presbytery on Friday nights at 8pm. Everyone welcome.
