WALK; A sponsored walk for the upkeep of the Knockanure Centre will be held on Sunday Feb. 21st at 2pm. Sponsorship cards and details available from the centre at 068 49799/ 068 49250 or any member of the committee. A donation will also be made to the Irish Guide Dogs Society.

SAINT PIO Prayer Group will meet in Listowel Church On Thursday 21st January. Rosary at 7.15pm, Mass, Exposition of Blessed Sacrament & Benediction.

HAITI: Quiz and monster raffle will be held at the Winners Circle Pub, Bridge St., Abbeyfeale on Friday, January 22 in aid of the Red Cross Haiti Appeal. Linda Sweeney, daughter of Marie and Patsy, Killarney Road works with the Red Cross in the Caribbean and is helping to co-ordinate their response. Lorcan Curtin will be the question master. Quiz will start at 10pm following the Munster match broadcast. Haiti suffered with four dreadful storms in 2008 and now has to cope with a devastating earthquake.

DEATH has taken place of Michael Enright of England and Meen, Listowel.

DEATH took place on January 6th ’10 of Eddie Holly of Cabra and Tarmons Hill, he is survived by his brother Paddy and sister Mary he was predeceased by siblings Tom, Jimmy, Michael, Billy and Johnny PC Moyvane who had a Taxi Service and shop in the Village. Eddie Holly was laid to rest at St Mary’s Churchyard Tarbert on Saturday January 9th 2010 following Requiem Mass in Tarbert Church.

DEATH took place on January 2nd 2010 of John McInerney of Tullyleague, Glin, and London he is survived by children Liam, Johnny, Steven, Lorretta and Sarah and brothers and sisters, Following Requiem Mass at Glin Church on Saturday January 16th ’10 John McInerney was laid to rest at Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin.

DEATH has taken place of Con Shine of Kilbaha, funeral arrangements later.
