SAINT PIO Prayer Group meeting will take place on Thursday 21st October. It will begin with the Rosary at 7.15pm, followed by Mass at 7.30pm and exposition of Blessed Sacrament & Benediction after Mass.

CHEQUE: The 33 miners in Chile who were rescued last week got $10,000 each from a Chilean mining executive. It was a great emotional day for all of us to see them safe. DEATH took place on  October 9th 2010 of John O Mahony of Coolkeragh, Listowel, he is survived by his wife  Noreen, sons Frank, Michael, Bill, Jer and Tim, daughters Marie, Gretta, Rosaire and Kathleen, Following Requiem Mass at Ballydonoghue Church on October 12th John O Mahony was laid to rest at  Michael’s Churchyard, Listowel.

DEATH to place at Livermore in San Francisco on October 3rd 2010 of Pat Furlong a native of Dublin and husband of Joan Fitzmaurice of Coilagurteen, Knockanure, they were married for 49 years, they have one son Brian born 1962. Pat and Joan moved to the Bay Area in 1961. Mass for Patrick Furlong was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 2808 Lakeshore Avenue, Oakland CA on Friday October 8th 2010. His siblings Nuala, John and Tony survive him. Pat was interested in music and computers.

Death took place on October 14th 2010 of Michael O Connor of Patrick Street, Listowel .Michael is survived by his brothers Thomas, Roger, Eamon, Denis and Maurice and Aunt Mrs Julia McElligott Leahy who lives in Killarney. Following Requiem Mass in Listowel Church on Sunday 17th of October 2010, Michael O Connor was laid to rest at St Michael’s Churchyard, Listowel. Michael was son of Mike the Pie O Connor of Listowel and Mary McElligott who was from Moyvane Village, his uncle Roger O Connor was a well known doctor at Tarbert.
