DEATH: Eileen Ahern died on Saturday 9th August , Eileen nee O Connor of  Parkanna,  Athea, wife of the late Tom. Survived by  her daughter Evelyn, sons Ted, Seamus, Francis & Tony, son-in-law Liam, daughters-in-law Ursula, Miriam, Louise and Margaret, grandchildren, sisters Betty and Bridie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews nieces. Requiem Mass for Eileen Ahern  was celebrated  on Tuesday 12th August 2014, burial after in Holy Cross Cemetery.

DEATH has occurred of Maureen Cooper (née O’Sullivan)
Ardshanavooley, Killarney. Maureen was predeceased by her husband Michael and survived by children, Danny, Mark, Geraldine, Mike, Vince, Karen and Colm.

DEATH: Georgie O’Connell of 48 St John’s Grove, Holloway, London N19 and formerly of Kilpadogue, Tarbert, County Kerry. Was laid to rest on 13th August 2014, he is survived by his wife Bridget, son John, daughter Mary, daughter-in-law Stella, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. His brother Patsy was a Feale Rangers and Kerry footballer.

I am told last Wednesday a person with free travel pass having the trappings of middle class took over the front seat, to read the North Kerry Edition of the Kerryman and transact their business on a touch screen, refusing to allow another person to sit beside them.
