PROTEST: Several busloads of people with an interest in the future of agriculture travelled to Dublin on Thursday April 18th `08, the protesters were good humoured and many were resigned to the fact that decisions will be made at the WTO talks in favour of the big corporations and little heed will be given to the concerns of the individual producer on the ground. GUIDE for Major Emergencies is being sent to all homes, like all free booklets it will be in the bin for the next collection, the contents of the booklet may be valid, but in the present climate where green is important, the spending of over E2 million on the booklet and having it recycled or dumped calls into question our green policies. Because of some inter Union rule the lights are on in Knockanure Village for a long long time. If the health service and all the other government agencies are operating anti green policies the people should know about them. The E7million that the government spends on car parking is only the tip of the iceberg, as we all know at many public buildings, staff only car parks are provided, if there was a charge and less car parking space available people would share cars and use a greener method of going to work.

THOUGHT: The real test of a saint is not one’s willingness to preach the gospel, but one’s willingness to do something like washing the disciples’ feet – that is, being willing to do those things that seem unimportant in human estimation but count as everything to God, Oswald Chambers; Human compliments are like perfume. Smell them, enjoy them while they last. Please don’t drink them; they will poison you, Anonymous.
