EXAM Mass in Moyvane Church on Tuesday May 26th a 8pm, Students names will be placed on Altar during Mass for the duration of the Exams.; Listowel Church on Saturday May 30th at 7.30pm. Mass for Exam students in Abbeyfeale Church is on Tues 2nd June at 7pm.

ST. PADRE PIO: Fr Eremelindo De Capus, Personal Assistant to St Padre Pio was due to concelebrate Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7.30pm. Fr Eremelindo had one of St Padre Pio’s stigmata mittens.

RACING in Listowel on the 30th, 31st of May and on June 1st. Any local who is not on duty on Monday, the first thought, are they at the races.

RAIN and more rain is the constant torment to stockmen, some fields are very badly poached, causing distress to both man and beast. A few farmers with well drained reclaimed bog are coping better than most. Last Saturday almost every farmer at the mart in Abbeyfeale was looking at the few bales on display only to find that they were all sold as soon as the arrived.

MARRIAGE took place at the Church of Prince of Peace Fossa of Betty O Carroll of Moyvane South and Ger O Connell of Mountcollins. The ceremony was performed by Fr Liam O Connell. Best man was Thomas Kirwin. Bridesmaid was Kristine O Carroll. The reception was held at the International Hotel in Killarney.
