EVENING MASS TIMES Listowel : Parish Pastoral Council have decided to synchronised all evening masses to 6.15 p.m. as from the first weekend in June 2024. That is 1st Friday / St. Padre Pio / Holy Day Vigils – all will be at 6.15pm. Excluding Easter & Christmas Vigils and Mass of Remembrance in November will be as announced.

MASS attendance in Listowel over two weekends, averaged 899.

BEST WISHES to Margaret Madigan of Ballyguiltenane Glin, who recently celebrated 40 years of service with Limerick City and County Civil Defence. Margaret was among 100 of her comrades to receive long service medals from Tánaiste and Minister of Defence Micheál Martin TD earlier this month. The medal ceremony took place in Trinity College Dublin and medals were awarded to members from across the country. Speaking at the event, the Tánaiste said: “I am delighted to formally honour the long and distinguished years of service of these Civil Defence members with the award of long service medals.

GRANT for School: The Department of Education has announced the opening of a new round of Creative Clusters. Each Creative Cluster will receive grant funding of €3,000 per school over a two-year period to implement their project in 2024–2026. Deadline for application: 10th May.

RIVERFEST Limerick; Taking place on the Bank Holiday weekend, between Friday, May 3 and Monday, May 6.

UNIVERSITY Hospital Kerry; To mark the 40th anniversary of the hospital at Rathass, Tralee an invitation is extended to join them for special events throughout the day on Thursday, April 25 2024.

RUN SUNDAY MAY 5TH, Great Limerick Run is the biggest mass participation sporting event outside Dublin.

ENERGY: EirGrid, to host an energy citizens roadshow in Limerick on Monday, April 22nd at the Limerick Strand Hotel from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

RALLY: Ireland International Rally of the Lakes will take place from May 3- 5.

BINGO: Tarbert Comprehensive School Bingo: Your afternoon support on this Sunday 21st April at 3pm in the School Assembly Hall would be most welcomed by the Parents Association and by Tarbert Comprehensive School – bring a friend, bring the family for some bingo fun. Raffle Tickets sold on the day for some lovely spot prizes.

PRAYER; Loving God, we pray to you in good times and also in difficult ones too. We give thanks for the blessings of our countryside. We pray for fine weather for our farmers and all those who work the land. Our prayers are for the land to dry up, so cattle can get out and crops sown. We pray for balance to our seasons and especially now we pray for some sunshine and dry weather. Amen.
