DEFIBRILLATOR; A public meeting will take place at the Community Centre Knockanure on Tuesday evening 28th May 2013 at 7.00 p.m.

HELP: The Monthly Meeting of the Meala Bereavement Group, takes place at the Listowel Family Resource Centre on Wednesday May 29th at 7.45pm. New members welcome.

SINGERS experience a magical evening of ‘shape-note singing’ in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel on Saturday next, 1st June from 9pm. to 10.30pm.

This year a new event has been added, the Game of Skittles for Boys and Girls U12 and U14, boys and girls will be introduced to the rules of the game. RESEARCH to be published in eLife, a team of molecular biologists from Europe and the US reconstructed the spread of the potato blight pathogen from dried plants, these were 170 to 120 years old and found to have intact pieces of DNA of the fungus-like oomycete Phytophthora infestans, known as the Irish potato famine pathogen.

All Europeans are related to Charlemagne. A genetic survey taken all over Europe show that we are all related to the same set of ancestors who lived 1,000 years ago.
