Knockanure Community Centre Committee are organizing a draw to clear the outstanding debt on the Community Centre, tickets will be available from the committee. The centre cost over E500,000 to develop. Children from the national school and adults are learning to operate computers at the Centre several times each week.
Social Day for the actively retired will be held on Monday 12th of May at the Centre from 9.30am to 1pm, details from 068 49799.
CREATIVE Writing for older people will be facilitated by Gabriel Fitzmaurice at the library in Listowel on 6th, 13th and 20th of May `08, time 11am to 1pm, everyone welcome.
CLOTHES for Africa will be collected before 12 noon at the Church Car park in Knockanure and Moyvane on Friday May 2nd.
SPRING clean up took place on the outskirts of Abbeyfeale on Saturday last May 26th , Moyvane clean up was on Monday evening April 28th.

ST Pio Pilgrimage to Holy Cross takes place on Sunday May 25th. The body of St Pio is on view at his monastery and it is expected between now and December 750,000 will come to see him.

WELL: Tradition of going to the Blessed Well has almost died out; last Saturday April 26th was the traditional day for St Batt’s well in Lisselton, the local blessed well was always visited during the Sundays in May. Rosary will be recited before Mass during the month of May.

BADGERS crossing roads have caused serious damage to cars, are they responsible for some deaths and serious accidents at night.
COUNCIL officials want to build a new headquarters at a cost of E26 million, if they are short of space there is plenty of room in vacant factories around the county, Kerry, Limerick or Cork labs could do all their testing, and if they charged staff for parking in no time plenty of space would be available.

DEATH has taken place of Sean Ahern of Moher Cross, Moyvane, his wife Aggie predeceased him. Sean is survived by children Pat Joe, Sean, Jim, Eamon, Joe, Gerard, Anthony, Marie, Elsie, Noreen, Cathleen, and Betty and Sister Nora Maria Fitzgerald, following Requiem Mass in Moyvane Church on Friday 25th April `08, Sean Ahern was laid to rest at Ahavoher Graveyard beside his wife Aggie who was laid was laid to rest on April 5th `08. Sean was son of Pat Ahern of Moher and Nell Enright of Ballylongford.
