DEATH of Bridie Behan nee Stack of Ballyegan, Lisselton and formally of Moyvane South on 19th September 2015. Predeceased by her husband Bob and son Dermot. Survived by sons Seamus in New York, and Martin at home. Daughter Mairead (Cork), Sister Sr. Dympna (Mountbellew), Brother Tom in Ennis. Daughter in Law Mary and Tanya, Son- in -Law Colm. Grandchildren Kieran, Dermot, Nicole, Oisin and Fionn. Sister in Law Eileen Hennessey and Sheila Stack. Nephews and Nieces. Requiem Mass for Bridie Behan was celebrated in Ballydonoghue Church on 22nd September, burial afterwards in St Michaels Churchyard, Listowel. Bridie was predeceased by siblings Mai McCarthy in 2007 and Dick in 2008, they were children of Jim Stack and Molly Cunningham of Moyvane South.
DEATH has taken place of Bridger O’Connor, nee Quinn, No 7 Markievicz Park, Athea, on September 24th 2015, wife of the late Michael. Survived by daughters Mary, Nora and Tricia, sons John and Michael, sisters, daughter-in-law Catherine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Peter, Chloe, Rachel and Nial, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, very kind neighbours and her many friends. Requiem mass for Bridger O Connor was celebrated on Sunday at St Bartholomew’s Church, Athea, burial afterwards at Holy Cross Cemetery, Athea. Both her sisters Mary Leahy and Nora Dore live in Moyvane.
DEATH: Connie McMahon of Knockanebrack, Lyreacrompane and late of Meenanare, Duagh. Survived by his wife Kate, daughter Cara, son Conor, parents Tom ( of Gortaglanna) and Peg, sister Noreen, brothers Dan, Johnny, Thomas, Seamus, Timmy, and Terence, father-in-law Tom, mother-in-law Noreen, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.. Requiem Mass on Sunday, the 27th of September at St. Brigid’s Church, Duagh, followed by burial in Springmount Cemetery, Duagh. Mass was celebrated by Fr Jack O Donnell assisted by Fr’s. Paul, Liam and Tom. Hymns and music was provided by Mr McAuliffe and Leonard.
DEATH: Maighread McCarthy (née O’Connell), (late of Mount Merrion and formerly Moyvane, died on September 24, 2015. Wife of the late Paddy, predeceased by her daughter Mary, mother to Ann (Reid), Brendan, Desmond and Niamh (Scollard), grandma to Grainne, Robert, Daire, Eoghan, Aoife, Cliodhna, Mareit, Ruth, Rebecca, Cormac, Conall and Saidhbhe, great-grandma to Maria, David, Dylan, Jorge, Maighread and Ilse. Also survived by her brother Maurice and sisters Mazie, Joe, Bess and Dympna, relatives, friends and neighbours. Following Mass at the Church of St. Therese, Mount Merrion, Maighread McCarthy was laid to rest in Deans Grange Cemetery. She was daughter of Tom Connell and Mary McMahon and predeceased by siblings Kitty and Anna.

A DAY FOR LIFE: is celebrated annually by the Catholic Church in Ireland, Scotland and England and Wales. It is a day dedicated to celebrating and upholding the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. This year’s Day for Life will be celebrated in Ireland on Sunday 4th October on the theme ‘Cherishing Life, Accepting Death’.
