CHUCH: Many standing at the back of Knockanure Church do not realise that the white wall at the back of the altar is like a TV screen. When the sun shines at a certain angle, children acting and people even picking their nose can be clearly seen.

ROSE Erin Loughran attended events at the Parish last weekend; her picture is on display at Moyvane Village. She is well known by locals as she spent a lot of time here between studies in Limerick. Great for her family members and friends from home and abroad to see how well she performed on Rose Night.

More than four years later, the Knight of Kerry noted that Timothy Mulvihill, the principal suspect, was still at large (National Archives of Ireland, SOC 1532/22.Ballinruddery, Listowel, 30 Sept. 1813, Maurice Fitzgerald to Robert Peel); apprehension of Timothy Mulvihill reported in The Limerick General Advertiser of 31 May 1814 ‘at Knockanure by the spirited and judicious exertions of John Sandes, Esq … aided by a party of the Waterford Militia’.
