DRURY: A Special Evening in honour of local poet Paddy Drury will be held in the Community Centre Knockanure on Sunday evening 7th March at 7.30pm, Admission free, Everyone welcome.

PARENTS: meeting was held at Scoil Chorp Chriost Knockanure National School on Feb. 2nd 2010 with a view to forming a Parents Association.

The committee of the recently formed association are Mark McAuliffe, Chairperson; Helen O Sullivan Treasurer; Elizabeth Brosnan Secretary; Kathleen Reidy, Declan O Connor and Jeremy Gould are also involved. The parents association is the structure through which parents/guardians of school children can work together for the best possible education of their children. The Parents Association works with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management to build effective partnership between the home and school.

ACTIVE Retirement Day in Knockanure will take place at K.C.C. on Monday March 8th . If attending, please contact the centre on 068 49799.

A Physiotherapy Clinic has opened at K. C. C. This is a branch of the Famous First Steps Rehabilitation Centre in Patrickswell. Anybody interested in making an appointment for physio, please contact the centre on 068 49799 between 9am – 1pm, Monday to Friday or mobile 087 7777600.

Knockanure Community Centre: The Committee wish to thank everyone who took part in our walk on Sunday last, also all the people who filled sponsorship cards and everyone who sponsored the walkers on the day. We also wish to thank the people from the Irish Guide Dogs for the disabled who walked with us on Sunday. A donation has been made to that organization. Thank you all.

DRAMA: Tullylease Drama Group is delighted to announce an exciting new production of John B. Keane’s iconic play, BIG MAGGIE at the Marian Hall, Moyvane, Saturday March 6th at 8pm. All proceeds from the night will be donated to the Goradaishe Orphanage, Belarus which continues to share a special relationship with the community of Moyvane.

DEATH took place on February 25th 2010 of Bernadette O Sullivan, nee Hanrahan of Aughrim, Moyvane. Bernadette is survived by her husband Dan, sons Patrick and Dan, daughter Betty. Following Requiem Mass in Church of the Assumption, Moyvane on Saturday February 27th 2010, Bernadette O Sullivan was laid to rest at Ahavoher Graveyard.
