DEATH took place on 22 September 2014 of Peg MOORE (née Boyle) Litter Road, Asdee. Wife of the late Mick, mother of Fr. Pat (Duagh), Michael (Surrey), Diarmuid (Claremorris). Sadly missed by her sons, daughters in law Jacinta and Geraldine, grandchildren Clíona, Michael, Shane, Gearoid and Conor, nieces Marie, Peg and Lal.
Requiem Mass for Peg Moore was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Asdee on Wednesday 24th September ‘14 followed by burial in Ahavallin Cemetery, Ballylongford.

DEATH has occurred of Dan Joy of Killocrim, Listowel. Requiem Mass for Dan Joy  was celebrated on 24th September 2014 in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel with burial afterwards in Finuge Cemetery. Dan is survived by his wife Marie, sons James and Maurice, mother Ann and Sister Mary.

YOUNG  Environmentalist Awards (YEA). The awards, now in their 16th year, are run by ECO-UNESCO, Ireland’s environmental education and youth organisation. The initiative is open to young people aged 10-18 years form across all 32 counties in Ireland, there is 10 categories.

CLEAN up with the International Ocean Conservancy. Last year 645,015 volunteers in 92 countries removed 5,580 tonnes of marine litter from the world’s oceans.

 I.C.A. in Limerick celebrated their 70th Anniversary on September 16th. 2014. They held a lunch at the Woodlands Hotel, Adare on Sunday 14th to mark the occasion.
