DEATH of Kathleen Fitzgerald (née Brandon), (Glin, Co. Limerick, formerly of Kilmorna, on March 16th 2023, in her 97th year. Kathleen, wife of the late Pat, mother of Kristine, Kieran and Louise. Survived by her children, sons-in-law John and Laurence, daughter-in-law Eivlín, grandsons Patrick, Jack, Hugh and Brandon, brother Seán, sister Delia, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass Tuesday (March 21st) in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin, Co. Limerick at 12noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

DEATH of Edward (Eddie) Kennelly of Lislaughtin, Ballylongford, on Wednesday`22nd of March 2023. Eddie is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Bridget Kennelly and brother Fr. Steve RIP.

Eddie will be missed by his brothers David, Patrick (Paddy), his sister Mai, sisters-in-law Noreen and Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours, extended family.

DEATH of Gerardine Galvin (née Dowling), late of Tralee, Finuge and Derry, Listowel, on St. Patrick’s Day,2023, surrounded by those who loved her, including Michael, her children Evan and Cara, her grandchild Richard. Predeceased by her twin baby brother Maurice Michael, her parents Michael and Maureen Dowling, her Nana and Mickeen. Mourned by her sisters Muriel, Ann, Imelda and their partners, her nieces and nephews, including her godchildren Róisín, Rebekah and Leah, Mrs Margaret Galvin (Finuge), her colleagues at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, her wide circle of friends who were so important to her, Derry and the wonderful Betty. Funeral arrived at St. Mary’s Church, Listowel, on Wednesday morning for requiem Mass.

AWARD: County Final of the Kerry County Council Annual Student Enterprise Awards was held recently at MTU Tralee. 22 mini-businesses were set up. Presentation Secondary School Listowel won the Best Newcomer School award. The National Final will be in Croke Park on 5 May 2023.
