ROSARY at the Grotto Moyvane every Tuesday evening at 7pm and at Knockanure Grotto each Thursday at 8pm for the month of May. All welcome. Eucharistic Adoration: every Tues. after 10.00am Mass to 11.30am in Moyvane Church.

SCHOOL: The official opening of the Astroturf at Knockanure School will take place on the 31st of May at 1pm. All are most welcome to attend to help us celebrate. Congratulations to Staff and pupils on the fine exhibition of artwork on display in the church for the month of May.

PARISH: Sincere Thanks to everyone who supported us in our recent bereavement by coming to the funeral at different points and sending messages. We greatly appreciated it. May God Bless you abundantly for your thoughtfulness. Fr. Brendan.

Holidays and Moving On; As last year, Fr. Liam O’Connell will take care of the needs of the Parish during June, when I will be out. I will return at the end of June and move out in July. It’s been good to be here but, as scripture says, there are other towns! Fr. Brendan.

CORPUS CHRISTI procession will take place in Listowel on Saturday 1st June after the Vigil. All welcome.

DEATH on 20th May 2024 of Bridget Keane, Pilgrim Hill, Kilmorna, and Athea, following a brief illness. Bridget is survived by her son Josh, partner Thomas, parents Jer and Mary, sister Joanne, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all her other relatives. Requiem Mass for Bridget was celebrated on Friday at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Interment afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery, Athea.

FARMERS: During a debate this week on the agriculture industry Deputy O’Sullivan also told the Dáil that farmers were tired of the penalties they get “if an “i” is not dotted or a “t” is not crossed”.

“They are absolutely fed up of the changing goalposts we see happening month on month.

“They are mainly fed up of overregulation and they are fed up of red tape,” he added.
