DINNEEN Exhibition at Tralee Library, most of the material is
displayed high up on the wall, well out of vision of older

VINTAGE Day last Sunday in Moyvane was a lovely mild day with
many attractions, including craft exhibition in the Community
Centre, Dog show and a wide variety of old machines, implements
and engines, the crowd was back a bit from previous years, the
match was a distraction for GAA followers, for others it was an
event to browse and meet friends and contribute to charity.

DEATH has taken place of Node Guiney, Node was daughter of
Michael Guiney of Moyvane South and Bridget Shine of Kilbaha.
Requiem Mass for Nora Guiney of Moyvane South and Listowel was
celebrated in Moyvane Church on Sunday 30th October 2011 by Fr
Lucid, Eileen Kissane played the organ and Sean Ahern sang the
hymns, Node Guiney was laid to rest among her ancestors at
Murhur Churchyard, Moyvane. The last surviving member of her
family. Node was predeceased by siblings Tim in 2008, John in
1991, Con in 1999, Mai in 1975 and Hannah in 1993. Their parents
Michael died in 1945 and Bridget died 1970.
Last winter her house was flooded during the big freeze, she was
disgusted when the local health service provider booked her into
the hospital, she told me she discharged herself.
DEATH occurred in mid October 2011 in Yorkshire of Martin O
Connell, born 89 years ago at Murhur Moyvane to Richard O
Connell and Nora Foley O Connell. Martin O Connell was
predeceased by all of his siblings, John, Mossie, Michael,
Anthony, Joe, Pat, Eddie and Thresa.

PRESENTATION: Our Holy Father Pope Benedict has granted a Bine
Merenti Medal to Mrs Margaret Sheehan as a sign of thanks and
appreciation for her many years of faithful service as Sacristan
in Moyvane Church. This medal will be presented to her on Friday
2nd December during a Thanksgiving Mass at 7.30pm. The parish
will also present her with a gift in the Marian Hall after Mass.
Everyone is invited and refreshments will be served.
INDULGENCE for all the Holy Souls: 1. From 12 o’clock noon on
1st Nov. until midnight on 2nd November, all who have confessed,
received Holy Communion, and prayed for the Pope’s intentions
(one Our Father and Hail Mary or any other prayer of one’s
choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a church or
oratory, and there reciting one Our Father and the Apostles’
Creed. This indulgence is applicable only to the souls of the
departed. Confessions may be made at any time within the week
preceding or the week following 1st November. Holy Communion may
be received on any day from the 1st November to the 8th
November. 2. The Faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the
dead may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the Holy
Souls on the usual conditions once per day from the 1st to 8th
November. The conditions mentioned above apply also for this.
