DEATH has occurred of Michael (Mickey) O’Flaherty Jnr., Carraig an Phoill, Ballylongford and late of Keylod, on December 27th, 2023. Predeceased by his mother Mary Ellen and his son Michael Daniel. Mickey is survived by his partner Helen, father Mickey, sisters Mary, Helen, Kate, Angela and Liz, brother Tadhg, uncles Dan Joe and Brendan, aunt Helen, godson Darragh, mother-in-law Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

Requiem mass for Mickey was celebrated at the Assumption, Moyvane on Saturday, followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.

DEATH of Patrick Langan of Glenagragra, Athea, on December, 28th, 2023, son of the late Ned & Delia Langan and grandfather to the late Damian Curtin. Husband of Mairead. Missed by his family, sons John, Eamonn & Paudie, daughters Bríd Jameson (Glin) & Maura Curtin (Brosna), grandchildren Seán, Áine, Cian, Danny & Tiernan. Brothers George (Dublin) and Eddie. RUSH: These findings of the four-year project, for which rushes were mainly cut in Co. Clare, illustrate the “beneficial” GWP impact of harvesting and bailing rush biomass, the study shows.
