BARN Dance at Knockanure last Friday night was an enjoyable night with plenty of fun and sport.

CONGRATULATIONS to Angela Windle daughter of Michael  and Kitty Windle of Leitrim East, Moyvane, who has been appointed Finance Manager of Digicell at the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean.

DOCUMENTRY on the life and times of father and son, Mick and Paddy Finucane. Footage of young and seniors from Urlee and Ballydonoghue, looking back to 1951 also to the Gale, Cashen and Brick Drainage Scheme. PRESENTATION was made to Mick Finucane recently by Kerry Seniors Golf Tour to mark his 90th birthday.

CHARITY Concert in aid of Alzheimer’s Group held at St John’s on Sat night last was well attended, thanks to all who helped to put on an enjoyable show, Bernie O Connor displayed his talent supported by Hazel White, The O Neill Sisters, Declan Mahony and local children Christopher and Katie Keane and the Lartigue Village Kids, many more in the background also helped. Great to see home grown activities.

TALKS at Moyvane School for four Mondays of November from 8-9pm, beginning on Monday 5th November. (We will look at the various types of prayer, the benefits of prayer, obstacles and aids to growing in prayer). Speaker Andrew Kellighan.

DEAD: You are invited to write the names of your deceased relatives and friends on the cards provided at the rear of the Church and hang the card on the tree in the Sanctuary.

SCHOOLS had their mid term break, Knockanure NS have a grand display of artwork on the school windows a great credit to all involved. They also had artwork on display at Moyvane Village Festival.

BEST Wishes to all the recent graduated from IT Tralee, real work now begins, searching for a job.

ENROLMENT Ceremony for First Communion is on Thursday Nov. 8th at 7.30pm. They recently had a Do this in Memory Programme in Knockanure Church.

SCOR na nOg, for North Kerry Clubs will be held in the Marian Hall Moyvane on Sat. Nov. 10th at 7pm.

THANKS: The Parents Council of Murhur, Moyvane National School wish to thank everyone who supported our recent Church Gate Collection on 6th & 7th October, which amounted to €846.41. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

DEATH took place of Paddy (Goggins) O Sullivan of Coilbee, Listowel, on Oct 23, 2012, in his 96th year. Paddy is survived by his sister  Noreen Lyons, nieces and nephews. Paddy was predeceased by his brother Michael who died 22nd June 2012 aged 90 years; Sister Nellie Kelly who died on January 8th 2007 aged 89, his sister Mary O Connor died in 1949; His nephew John Joe died in 1990. Following Requiem Mass in Listowel Church on 25th October 2012, Paddy O Sullivan was laid to rest in the family grave in St Michael’s Churchyard beside his parents, John who died in 1947 and Nora nee O Connor who died in August 1983.
