PLAY: The Boro Players Drama Group put on a great performance of
“A Burglary will take Place” on Sunday night 30th Oct. 2011. The
play was first produced by Moyvane Macra in 1985 and they
reached the Munster Final that year in a drama competition. Four
of the original cast were again acting their former parts in the
recent performance, Maurice O Connell, Mike Brosnan, Tom Moore
and Martin Sheehy, also taking part were, Brenda Kennelly, Jill
McCarthy, Katie Galvin and Donal Leahy.
VARIETY Show in Athea will be held on Sunday, November 13th and
again on Sunday, November 20th in the Community Hall, Athea.

DEATH took place of Kathy Moran nee Morgan of Toureendonnell,
Athea on 31st October 2011. Kathy aged 95, was predeceased by
her husband Thomas, sons Patrick and Sean and is survived by her
sons Michael and Tommy, daughters Mary, Joan and Helen.
Following Requiem Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Athea, on
3rd Nov. 2011 Kathy Moran was laid to rest at Knockanure Old
Churchyard.
DIED: Sr. Eucharia Leahy, Presentation Sisters, Green Island,
Dunedin, New Zealand and Abbeydorney, died on 2nd November 2011
aged 99 years. Sister was professed in Ireland in 1940 and went
to New Zealand in 1953 and spent the rest of her life in the
same convent in New Zealand.
