DEATH took place on 3rd September 2015 of Charles Gullin, Leitrim West Moyvane, late of Tarbert and Killocrim, Listowel. Survived by his wife Annette Gullin nee Beasley and family Tony, Neil, Wendy and Ricky. Requiem mass for Charles Gullin on Sunday 6th September in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel. Burial afterwards in St. John Paul II cemetery.

DEATH has taken place of Henry Brosnan Ballinclogher, Lixnaw and late of Knockreagh, Listowel, on 30th of Augest 2015. Survived by nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends.
Requiem Mass for Henry Brosnan was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church Irremore on Wednesday and burial afterwards in Kilshinane Cemetery.

DEATH took place on 31st August 2015 of Margaret Kenelly (née Hudson),Coolaclarig, Listowel And late of Kilbaha, Moyvane. Wife of the late Mikey and mother of the late Tim, Maurice, and Geraldine. Survived by daughters Mary, Joan, Colette, and Breda, sons Eamon and Mike, sisters Nora and Breda, brother William at Kilbaha, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Requiem Mass on Thursday the 3rd of September at 11.30am in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel. Burial afterwards to Lislaughtin Abbey, Ballylongford.

OUR LADY’S BIRTHDAY ON TUESDAY NEXT: September 8th – To mark the occasion Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place at Our Lady’s Altar here at St. Mary’s Church from 11.00 a.m. to 12 noon.  Adoration continues in the Adoration Chapel afterwards. Failte!

SHANNONSIDE WOMENS GROUP will hold a used clothes collection on Thursday 24th Sept from 8am to 10am in the Church carpark.  Proceeds of this collection will go to the Leah Carmody Fund and your support will be greatly appreciated.  All clean ladies, gents & children’s clothes, shoes, bags, sheets, curtains etc are acceptable.

NOMINATIONS are being sought at present for the People of the Year Awards, which will be presented live on RTE One television on Saturday 5th December. Each year the awards, which are organised by Rehab, recognise the work done by the many unsung heroes within communities around Ireland. The nominations are needed for the following categories: Young Person of the Year, International Person of the Year, Sports Person of the Year and Community Group of the Year. LAUNCH: Johnny Lane tells me he has launched a CD for Cúnamh Cancer Support Group in the Cork Bons for all the help they have given to Mairead and many more over the past year. The Song was launched on Tues evening at Christys The Well in Listowel.
