NANO NAGLE MASS: In anticipation of the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is taking place on Friday, November 21st the Presentation Secondary School, Listowel, is hosting 11.00 a.m. Mass on Sunday Nov. 16th . At this Mass pray for the late Sr. Nuala O’Leary, former Principal of the School. The students and staff will be doing the readings, prayers of the faithful etc. and much of the singing with the Parish Choir as we honour Nano Nagle.
ROSARY will be prayed in The Famine Graveyard, Ballybunion Road at 3pm each Sunday of November. Mass will also be celebrated there on Saturday Nov. 22nd at 3pm.

DEATH took place on 3rd November 2014 of Liam Lynch of Gortroe, Knocknagoshel. Born 1938 to John and Josie Lynch, Kilgarvan, Ballybunion.
Survived by his wife Kathleen, brothers John and Tim, sister Marie (Liston), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law. Liam was predeceased by his brother Patrick.Requiem Mass for Liam Lynch was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Knocknagoshel on Wednesday 5th November, burial afterwards in Knockane Cemetery, Knocknagoshel.
DEATH occurred of Sr. Nuala O’Leary on 31st October 2014. Sr. Nuala was a native of Rathmore, Tralee. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her Presentation Community, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, nieces and nephews-in-law, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relations and friends.
Requiem Mass for Sr. Nuala was celebrated in St. Joseph’s church, Rathmore on Monday 4th November 2014. Burial afterwards in the church grounds. Sr. Nuala was Principal in Presentation Secondary School Listowel up to recently. Sr. Nuala was known as a very hard working and committed Principal. Her past pupils and colleagues admired her energy and diligence.
DEATH: Jerry O Carroll of Skehanagh, Tralee and formerly of Knockanure, aged 82 years, husband of Mary and father of Paul; sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Vanessa, grandchildren, brothers Teddy and John, sisters Mary and Joan, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, Requiem Mass on Friday 7th November in St. John’s Church, Tralee. Interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery. Jerry was son of John Carroll and Mary Moloney she died shortly after birth of Joan. Jerry was a regular visitor to Knockanure and was well known in Tralee as he was a restaurant owner and an active member of the community. Monsignor O Reardon gave a lovely talk on Jerry’s life at the Mass, Fr McMahon and Fr O Callaghan were among the clergy at the church and graveside.
DEATH took place in England of Austin Stack son of Pat Stack of Moyvane and Mary Kennelly of Knockanure, he was predeceased by his father Pat and survived by his mother Mary and siblings, Therese, Margaret, Jerry and Hellen and aunt Mary Stack of Moyvane. Fr. James O Hanlon a cousin celebrated the Requiem Mass on 6th November 2014.

REMEMBRANCE DAY FOR WORLD WAR 1 took place at the memorial at the rear of St. John’s, after 11am. Mass on Sunday Nov. 9th . World War 2 group will be in period dress uniform, there with a wreath laying ceremony and the last post/revallie and the national anthem. July 3rd 1954 KM; Bridget O Mahony of Athea aged 11 died suddenly of heart attack as she was about to leave for school, she was daughter of Tom O Mahony of Templeathea. Feis Oration to be delivered in Abbeyfeale on July 4th. Death of Mrs Flynn aged 93, the oldest woman in Abbeyfeale . A shopkeeper for 60 years, aunt of Mr J Barrett MCC, Glin, she was buried in Ballylongford. Pilgrims from Ballybunion, Miss M O Sullivan, Alverna and Mrs L Griffin of Snogboro, left Ballybunion on Saturday for Lough Derg. Rev Fr. Michael Murphy Mill hill Father returns to West Africa, he is a native of Ballagh, Abbeyfeale, this is his second visit home in 16 years. He is son of Maurice Murphy farmer and rate collector. Jubilee of Fr D F O Sullivan on Tuesday June 20th 1964, Fr Ferris gave the sermon , he knew Fr O Sullivan for 61 years, they first met in St Brendan’s, Killarney. Fr O Sullivan was a brilliant student achieving great honours, was professor at St John’s Seminary Kansas for four years, has mission experience in Launan ? and was recalled to Kerry in 1911.
