Moyvane Notes – 1st April, 2007

Good Weather:
A lot of cattle have been out on land over the past week due to the very dry weather. Despite all the rain that fell during the winter, land is exceptionally good for this time of year and it must have something do with last year’s exceptionally dry year. Early indications are that they will be no Super Levy penalties this year.

Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
Moyvane Seniors continued their success in the County League by defeating Knocknagoshel (away) on Saturday last on a score line of Knocknagoshel 1-5, Moyvane 3-5.

They now continue their North Kerry League campaign on Friday, 6th April when they play host to Castleisland Desmonds at Con Brosnan Park. Throw in is at 7pm. 

Minors:
The minors lost to St. Senans in the County League on Friday last in Mountcoal. The score was St. Senans 3-6, Moyvane 0-8.

Ladies Football:
U-12 training on Thursday, 5th at 6.30pm. Match follows on Friday, 6th at 6.30pm against Castlegregory at home.

U-14 training on Monday, 2nd at 6.30pm. Next match will be against Glenflesk (away) on Thursday 5th. Bus will leave Community Centre at 5pm sharp.

West Limerick Set Dancing Club:
The West Limerick Set Dancing Club are holding a set céilí in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale on Sunday 8th of April commencing at 3pm. Music By Swallow Tale. All are welcome.

Wedding:
The marriage took place on Friday last of Caterina McEvoy, Aughrim, Moyvane and Kieran Sheehan, Broadford, Co Limerick at the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. The reception was held in Ballygarry House Hotel.

On Holy Thursday evening, the Church will remain open until 12 midnight.

On Tuesday, visiting Priests will be available for Confessions at 8pm. Benediction after Confessions.

Confessions will also take place on Saturday 12 -12.30.

Dawn Mass:
A Dawn Mass will be celebrated at the Resurrection Monument in Mary’s Cemetery Tarbert on Easter Sunday at 6am. All welcome.
