TARBERT Development Association will hold a Christmas Craft Fair at the Lantern’s Hotel on Sunday, December 9, from 12.00 to 6.00.

Sheila Windle has been appointed to a Social Care Post with the Southern Health Board.

The death has occurred in England of Margaret (Molly) Lewis (nee Kennedy), formerly of Keylod.

The ICA have expressed thanks to all who helped in any way to make the family fun-day a success. It was like old times in the Devon Hotel on Friday night last with a full house and a great social. The Co-op has thanked everybody from the parish and neighbouring areas for once again ensuring the success of this very special event.

Moyvane Senior Citizens will hold the Annual Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 16, at 2.00 in the Listowel Arms Hotel. Please give in your names to the following E. Quinn (49472), N. O’Callaghan (49350), Maureen Nolan (49365), or any committee member.

West Limerick Set-dancing Club are holding a set-ceili in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale on this Sunday, December 2, at 4 p.m. Music by Murt Kelliher, all sets called.

Shine’s Shop, Glin Road is closing it’s doors this Saturday, December 1, after serving the community for approximately 90 years. Many have expressed thanks to Jack and Bridie for their many years of service, and have wished them a long and happy retirement.

Moyvane juniors will play Emmets in the replay of the North Kerry Intermediate championship on Sunday next, December 2, in Tarbert at 2.30. We have prepared well for this game and we hope that things will go for us on Sunday. All players are asked to be in good time as this is the final we have been waiting for.

Nessa Fitzmaurice, Dermot Keane, Patrick Curtin, John Fitzmaurice and James Duggan represented the club in the Munster Youth Development Programme and doing very well. This was held in the Earl of Desmond on Sunday last. Our lads were very young and can participate again next year.
