Pioneer Social:
The North Kerry Pioneer Social will be held in The Golf Hotel, Ballybunion on Friday, February 11th. Tickets are €25 and are available from Michael Liston at the Creamery Office or from Mary Kearney. 

School Tour Fundraiser:
A school tour fundraiser will be held in Mairead’s Bar on Saturday, February 5th in aid of the Nano Nagle School. Music by Gabriel Fitzmaurice and the Bog Hole Boys. Spot Prizes galore.

Parish Retreat:
The annual parish retreat will be held in the Ardfert Retreat Centre on Sunday, February 20th. Book with Nodie Brosnan at 49352, Julia Stack at 49401 or Bridie Shine at 49103.

Senior Badminton:
Congratulations to Donie Enright on winning the Div3 Singles Championships played in Castleisland on Sunday.

Juvenile Badminton:
While there weren’t any winners at the Doubles Championships in Tralle on Saturday, Erin Finucane & Tina Gormley were finalists in the u14s and James Flaherty was a finalist also in u14.

Schools  Badminton:
Con Mulvihill is part of the u19 team from St. Michaels that will contest the Munster finals in UL on Thursday next.

Moyvane GAA:
The U21 team will take on Ballydonoghue in the quarter final of the North Kerry Championship 2010.  The game will be played in Tarbert on Sunday, February 6th at 2pm.  Best of luck to the team and management.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of this weeks jackpot of €3,200.  Numbers drawn were 3, 8, 15 and 28.  Lucky Dips of €40 each: Micheal Fitzmaurice, Aughrim, Mary Dunne, Moyvane, Willie Leahy, Carrueragh, Rachel O’ Connor (Paula Stack), Galebridge and Noel Fennell, Ballylongford.  Next weeks Jackpot is €3,400 and the draw will take place in Speedy’s Bar on Sunday, February 6th at 10pm. After a recent meeting it was decided that the club needs to raise much needed finance to maintain the upkeep of our pitch and facilities.  To help with these costs we hope to expand on the sale of our weekly lotto.  We are offering you the opportunity to buy the lotto for a yearly sum of €100, which gives you two free draws per year.  For further details please contact any committee member.
Membership: Club membership is now open for the coming year, Players €40, Non-Players and Students €20. Membership can be obtained from committee members.
Coiste na nOg AGM: The Coiste na nÓg AGM will be held in the Marian Hall on Friday, February 4th at 8pm.  Anyone interested in taking up a position or helping out with a team please contact Mairead O’ Sullivan on 086-3689061 as soon as possible.  Trainers are needed for U12 and U16 teams.

The West Limerick Set Dancing Club is holding a ceili in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale on Sunday, February 6th at 4pm.  Duggans Lane will provide music and teas will be served on the day.  All are welcome.

Workshop Weekend:
The annual West Limerick Set Dancing Club workshop weekend at the Devon Inn Templeglantine will take place from Friday, February 25th to Sunday, February 27th. The workshops being run are Sean Nos on Friday night followed by a ceili at 9pm, music by Allow Ceili Band. On Saturday from 10am to 5pm there will be workshops by Pat Murphy and Betty McCoy. The Sean Nos workshop will be at 10am. Finish up the evening at a ceili with the Striolan Ceili Band. On Sunday workshops will take place from 10:30am to 1pm with the Sean Nos workshop at 11am. The weekend comes to a close with a ceili with Donie Nolan and Taylors Cross.
