GAA
The Seniors lost to Cordal in the first round of the County Intermediate championship on Saturday night in Knocknagoshel. This was always going to be a tight affair with very little between the sides. Cordal started the better and scored a goal early on. Moyvane got back into the game and by half-time were down by one point 1 – 6 to 0 – 8. The second half was a ding-dong battle and scores were exchanged all through. Moyvane had good claims for a goal when the ball finished in the net after their goalkeeper had dropped it in the square. However the score was not allowed and Cordal held on in a tense finale. Final score Moyvane 0 – 13, Cordal 1 – 12. That means now that Moyvane are in the Novice championship.
