Moyvane Notes 10/01/2022

IT’S A NEW YEAR, a year that can only get better. What have we learned from the past two years? Hopefully we have learned a lot. Did you ever think that you, me and everyone would be going around wearing masks? I go into the supermarket and see someone and I ask myself “Do I know you? Should I know you?” I move away from someone and I feel like saying “I’m sorry, I have nothing against you but…. This thing is totally alien to us. The old saying  “It takes a village to raise a child” seems to have been knocked on its head but it still does need a village, and now more than ever. We are all in this together, we need each other more than ever. It’s amazing the changes it has brought about. The big multinational companies and even the smaller companies now sing off the same hymn sheet. They thought they needed big offices in big expensive buildings to run their businesses but now they know that’s not the way it is. All you need is technology, so the people who invested in commercial properties have learned an expensive lesson! Apart from those who need to be at work physically, everyone else can work from home…..if they have decent broadband. Government, take note. It has not been easy for any generation, from the child to the retired it has affected everyone in some way. We can only look forward to a light at the end of the tunnel. We need to pull together, take care of each other, look after each other and more than all respect each other. Make that phone call, talk to someone who lives alone, someone who may be missing a friend or family member. Remember it’s good to talk.
