ON Monday night last, the first of the annual cemetery Masses was held at Ahavoher cemetery. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Michael Fleming, P.P., assisted by Fr. Tom McMahon. A large crowd of people attended the Mass. 19 people from the parish were interred in the cemetery in the last 12 months. Mass will be celebrated (tonight) Wednesday August 7 at 8pm in Murhur cemetery.
A charity walk in aid of Listowel Hospice and Cancer Society will take place on Tuesday, August 13 at 7.30pm. Men and women of all ages are asked to participate. There will be a choice of distance to suit different age groups (approximately one 1/2 miles or four miles). Meeting point, entrance to wood on Knockanure Road. Sponsorship cards available from Noreen Roche, Ahalahana.
Moyvane play Emmets in round one of the Barrett Cup in Listowel on Friday night at 7.30pm. All players are asked to be there in good time.
Moyvane are playing Ballydonoghue in the North Kerry league on Thursday, at 7.30pm. Check posters for venue. We were defeated by Tarbert last week after a great game in which we played very well.
The Moyvane/Beale championship game will be refixed at a later date.
