GAA – North Kerry Championship:
A large crowd turned up for the semi-finals of the North Kerry Championship which was played in ideal conditions in Moyvane on Saturday last. This year's final will be a repeat of last years in which Listowel will take on Ballyduff. The final is fixed for St. Stephens Day, venue yet to be fixed.

Glin Day Care Centre:
The Moyvane, Ballylongford, Asdee Christmas party at Glin Day Care Centre takes place on Thursday, December 14th. Those who travel by bus will be collected at the usual times. If you are unable to attend, please call the centre on 068-26033.
Fr. Pat Moore:
Fr. Pat Moore's new collection of short stories is available at the local post office and shops at a cost of €12.99. It also includes a free CD with the stories brought to life by local actors.
Senior Citizens:
Senior Citizens Annual Christmas dinner will take place at the Listowel Arms Hotel on Sunday December 17th. Book with Maureen Nolan at 49365.
Christmas Craft & Food Fair:
Join us at the Christmas Craft & Food Fair next Sunday, 17th December at the Seanchaí Literary Centre, Listowel. Items for sale will include woodwork, knitwear, toys, greeting cards, ceramics, jewellery, handmade chocolates, home baking, chesses & savoury delights. Doors open at 11am.

Used Mobile Phones:
Thousands of used mobile phones are discarded annually, especially around Christmas time. The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart can recycle used mobile phones to support their work in Third World countries. Phones with batteries (but not chargers) and also empty inkjet cartridges can be posted to Mobile Phone Recycling, P.O. Box 23, Western Road, Cork.
