Moyvane Notes – 10th May, 2003

MOYVANE seniors took the points from their game with Churchill. This was a very important win. Final score Moyvane 0-10, Churchill 0-9. Next Saturday night Moyvane play Brosna in Brosna at 7pm.

Moyvane minors lost to Duagh in the county league. That now means that they cannot reach a play-off. However they competed very well.

Moyvane juniors are playing Ballymac in the urban league on Friday night in Clounmacon at 7.15pm. All players should be in the dressing rooms at 7pm.

Moyvane under-16 lost to St. Senan’s in Mountcoal in the North Kerry league last week. That ends interest in the competition. Their next outing will be after the exams in the County league.

Under-12: Moyvane play Renard in Renard on Sunday next at 7pm. Bus leaves village at 4.30pm.

Senior Citizens: A social afternoon is planned for Sunday May 11 at 3pm. Once again entertainment will be provided by the Wren Boys so come along for the best of music, song and dance. On this occasion the Book Club are making a contribution to the Radio Link System.

The Labour Party will take up its annual church gate collection this weekend.
