Kerry County Council Meeting:
Kerry County Council comes to Moyvane with its Annual Meeting in the Marian Hall on Monday, April 18th. This is the meeting that was scheduled to be held last December but had to be cancelled due to the weather. Pat Leahy, Mayor of Kerry, was instrumental in arranging the meeting and the committee of the Marian Hall would like to welcome all members of the council, as a group, to Moyvane for the first time.

Moyvane GAA:

Seniors: Moyvane 2-14 Knocknagoshel 0-7 was the score in Round 2 of the Senior County League. Well done lads. They are at home to Ballylongford in Round 4 of the County League on Sunday, April 17th at 2:30pm.
Minors: Moyvane Minors won their Round 7 County League game against Ballyduff on a score of Moyvane 2-11, Ballyduff 0-11. For upcoming games, please check fixture posters.
Juniors: Juniors are away to Beale in Round 2 of the North Kerry League Division 3 on Tuesday, April 19th.
Lotto: There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €2,000. Numbers drawn were 4   5   10    24.  Lucky Dips €40 each: Tipp Bill. Jim Nolan, Gale Bridge. John Moloney, Murhur. Senior  Badminton:

Francine Collins and Christopher McCarthy were Finalists in the Division 4 mixed Championship played in Killarney last Friday night.
The Division 3 mixed League team will contest the final against Killarney in Castleisland on Wednesday night at 8.15pm. Club members are asked to go to Castleisland to support the team. Best of luck to them on the night.

Handel’s Messiah:
Handel’s Messiah is being performed by the Kerry Chamber Choir and Orchestra in St. Mary’s Church Listowel on Palm Sunday, April 17th at 8pm. It is directed by Mr. Aidan O’Carroll and will include soloists Margaret Reen, Aisling O’Carroll, Noel & Pierce Heaslip. This is a great introduction to Holy Week. No entrance, it’s free so come along, enjoy and bring a cushion for utmost comfort.

County Fleadh:

Ballylongford Annual Concert:
The annual concert will be held in the Ballylongford GAA hall this Friday, April 15th at 7pm sharp.  A great night of music, song and dance is promised.  The All Ireland Senior Ceili Band winners will be in attendance.  All are welcome for an enjoyable night.

Car Boot Sale & Indoor Market:
The monthly car boot sale and indoor market in aid of W.L102fm will be held at the Community Centre, NCW on Sunday, April 17th with gates opening at 7.30am.  Further details from 087 6866450.

Yoga Classes:

The death took place recently in New Jersey of Joseph Stack of Gale Bridge, Moyvane. He is survived by his family in New Jersey and siblings, twin brother, John, twin sisters Eileen & Marie, brothers Maurice & Eddie. He was predeceased by his sisters Joan and Noreen. Mass for Joseph Stack was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, on Monday, April 10th at 8pm.
