Their was no winner of last Thursday night’s Jackpot. The winning numbers were1   7   13   32. Bingo:
Congratulations to Christina Evans, Listowel who won €2,000 on Spin The Wheel last Thursday night. Believe it or not the total amount of money won at Bingo last week was €4,000.

Moyvane GAA:
Seniors Results:
Moyvane seniors progressed to the next round of the Novice Club Shield overcoming Lispole on a final score of Moyvane 1-10, Lispole 1-9 on Sunday last. 

Juniors Results:  Moyvane had two good wins in the North Kerry League Division 3 last week. On Tuesday they beat Duagh B on a score of Moyvane 2-13, Duagh 0-7 and on Friday they were winners over Clounmacon A. The final score here was Moyvane 2-14, Clounmacon 2-10.

Fixtures: Juniors are home to Austin Stack C in Round 2 of the County League on Friday, May 13th at 7:30pm, seniors are home to Asdee in Round 5 of the County League on Saturday, May 14th at 7pm.     
Lotto Results:: There was no winner of this weeks Jackpot of €2,800. Numbers drawn were 2, 4, 19 and 32.  Lucky Dips of €40 each, Eileen Sheehan c/o Speedy’s, Ann Buckley, c/o Pat Scanlon, Yvonne O’ Connor Australia, Noel Stack, Moyvane Village and John Sheehy, Derry, Listowel.  Next weeks Jackpot is €3,000 and the draw will take place in Hanrahan’s Bar on Sunday, May 15th at 10pm.
Ladies: Belated congratulations to Erin Finucane on playing a great part with the Kerry ladies u14 team who played Cork in the Munster Final on May 1st. Unfortunately Cork were too good on the day despite Erin scoring 2 great goals. Well  done from all in the club. Congratulations also to the Moyvane /Clounmacon ladies football team who won the North Kerry 7 aside Minor Blitz held in Kerin O’Rahillys on the same day. They played 5 games and won all 5, beating Abbeydorney in the Final. Well done to all the girls involved and a special thanks to Keith Browne and John O’Sullivan, trainer and manager.
U16: Moyvane play Knock/Brosna in under 16 final in Duagh at 7pm. on Thursday, May 12th.  Best of luck to all players. Please come and support.
U12: Congratulations to Moyvane U-12’s who beat Keel in the North Kerry League with a final score of 4-8 to 4-3. Well done to all who played.

Community Games:
Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games (confined to children of the parish) will be held on Thursday, May 12th in Con Brosnan Park at 5.30pm. Age group, U8 to U 16.

Gortaglanna Commemoration:
A Gortaglanna commemoration in remembrance of  Lyons, Walsh and Dalton will be held to mark the 90th Anninversary of their deaths on Friday, May 13th. Assemble at the monument at 7.45pm. Main Speaker: Toireasa Ferris.

Chernobyl Children’s Fund:
On behalf of the Chernobyl Children’s Fund, Ann & Willie Flavin would like to thank everyone who supported their recent concert in St Johns, Listowel. They were delighted to have a full house on the night with people travelling from near and fa and would like to thank the performers who gave everyone a great evening of entertainment. Thank you to the sponsors who gave so generously. A special thanks to Joe Murphy and his staff for all their help in organising the event and for the use of the lovely venue.

Car Boot Sale & Indoor Market:

Afternoon Tea Dance:
Abbeyfeale’s St. Joseph’s Secondary School is closing in June and will be demolished to make way for the new college.  Before that happens,  a fundraising Afternoon Tea Dance will be held in the Hall on Sunday, May 15th to help fund the youth trip to Madrid to meet the Pope for World Youth Day.  Dancing to Peter Lane from 3pm-6pm.  Admission €7. Teas served.  Raffle and spots.  Your support will enable young people to travel and experience a once in a lifetime event.
