Badminton:
The A.G.M. of the badminton club was held recently and the following were elected for the coming season:
– Chairperson: Ml. Corridan
– Vice Chair: Ollie Conyard
– Joint Secretary: Eileen Roche & Noirin Buckley
– Treasurers: Carmel Hudson & Mary Lynch.
A fun tournament was held to get competition going and results were: Winners mens competition: Donie Enright & Kevin Stack. Runners up were Edward McCarthy & Myles Kearney. Ladies winners were Olive Keane & Deirdre McElligott. Runners up were Carmel Hudson & Krystal Crowley. During the past week the Division 4 men started the league and defeated Listowel at home and away with a 6-0 score on both occasions. The Diamond Jubilee of Kerry Badminton will be marked this week with Juvenile & Senior competitions, a Quiz and an over 40 competition.
A number of juveniles were successful in Saturdays Tournament in Tralee. These were Denise Collins, Liam & Michelle Corridan, Tricia & Gerdi Mulvihill, Aileen & Aidan Kennelly, Aishling Flaherty, Shane McEnery, Trevor McSweeney, Siobhan, Timothy & James Noonan, Kieran & Liam Flavin, Elaine Hudson, and Eileen McCarthy.
Players from Moyvane also had a very successful day at the November Handicap played in Tralee Sports Complex on Sunday, they contested three finals winning two and having finalists in two. In Division 5, Padraig Hanrahan won and Eleanor Sheehan was finalist. In Division 4 Billy Lynch was a finalist, and in Division 3 Carmel Hudson won. Well done to all.
Senior Badminton continues in the Community Centre on Monday & Wednesday nights from 8pm to 10pm.
Kerry Hunt:
The Kerry Hunt wish to thank all the land owners who gave them permission to travel on their land during their resent hunt.

Moyvane ICA:
The annual Christmas shopping trip to Cork takes place on Wednesday, 29th November. The cost is €17. Book with Eileen Roche on 49337 or Marie Walsh on 49277.
Glin Day Care Centre:
Glin Day Care Centre will be closed on November 16th. The next date for the Moyvane/Ballylongford/Asdee openday will be on 14th December 2006. We apologise for any disappointment and look forward to providing the group with an extra special day on this date.
Open Meeting:
An Open Meeting will take place at the Listowel Arms Hotel on Thursday November 23rd 2006 at 8pm highlighting the issue of suicide and the support services available for those who have been affected in any way by suicide. A number of guest speakers will be present and this will be a very informative evening. It will also see the launch of a new support group in Listowel called YANA (You are not Alone) Further information from 068 21279.
Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
Moyvane play the most important game in their County League campaign on Sunday next in Moyvane at 2pm. They play Churchill in the final round of the league where defeat would mean definite relegation. A win would give us a chance of a playoff to save our Division 4 status. So lets hope the lads can get the result and retain our position.
Under 13:
Moyvane lost to Brosna in the Under 13 Championship on Saturday last after a very good game. Final score 2–15 to 2–7.
That finishes Bord nOg for the year and all in all they gave great enjoyment and well done to all involved with each of the teams.
Dressing Rooms:
Work is progressing in the new dressing rooms so again we ask people to be careful around the area and take notice of the warning signs. Thank you again for your co-operation
Moyvane/Knockanure Comhaltas:
Registration for Comhaltas membership takes place at the Marian Hall on Wednesday 15th November at 6pm. Children need to be insured members of Comhaltas to attend dancing and singing classes and take part in competitions.

Death:
The death took place of James Jim Walsh, Upper Aughrim, Moyvane suddenly at his residence. He was buried in Ahavoher cemetery on Saturday last. He was 60 years of age.
