Junior Cert Results Disco:
Shannonside NoName Club is hosting a Junior Cert Results Disco from 9pm to 12 midnight in the Lanterns Hotel Tarbert on Wednesday night Sept 12th. This is an alcohol-free disco. Come along to celebrate your results with your friends and dance the night away.

Return to Work:
Fáilte Ireland, in association with North Kerry Together Ltd Jobs Club, are proposing to run a Return to Work Food and Wine service course in Listowel, starting in October. For further details please contact Michael or Tina at 068 24981.

Knockanure Vintage Club:
Knockanure Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who supported their recent rally. A special word of thanks to all the sponsors for their generosity. Thanks to Leo Finucane for the use of his car park & to Tom Moore for the use of his field and to our many stewards who kept everything moving smoothly. A donation from the proceeds has been given to "Kerry Parents & Friends" Listowel & to the Knockanure Community Centre.

Kerry Earth Day:
Kerry Earth Day, the annual event organised by the Kerry Diocesan Justice, Peace & Creation Committee gives the opportunity to learn, enjoy & experience ways to live lightly and responsibly within God's creation, will take place on Sat. Sept. 15th from 10am to 4pm in the Old Monastery, Port Road, Killarney. The overall theme is Water: Our Liquid Gold. Further information can be received from JP11 Pastoral Centre, Killarney 064 32644 (9.30 – 12.30). Everyone welcome to the day and Mass will be celebrated at 6.15pm in the Cathedral.

Death: 

The death took place suddenly (at his home) of Maurice 'Mossy' Culhane, Leitrim Middle, Moyvane. He was 59 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Friday evening and he was buried in Ahavoher cemetary on Saturday last. Father of the late James Culhane, he is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Liz & Caroline, brothers, sisters & grandchildren. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
