Senior Badminton:
Division 5 ladies and men both played two matches during the week. On Monday they were away to Listowel where the men won 3-1, however the ladies suffered a reverse result going down 1-3. On Thursday both were at home to County where the men again had a 3-1 victory and this time the ladies had a 4-0 win. Teams were Timmy O’Flaherty, Timmy Larkin, Mike Ryan and Micheal Nolan, Suzanne Keane, Charlotte Fitzgerald, Celia O’Grady, Eileen Roche and Fiona Mullin. Both teams now await the result of games between Listowel and County to see if they go through to finals which will be played in Moyvane on Thursday next.
Ladies Football:
The u12 girls had a great win over Ballymac on a lovely Sunday evening last week. These girls are a really spirited bunch and have only lost one game so far which puts them there or abouts for a League win. The u16s were away to Castlegregory on a very blustery cold evening on Tuesday last week and again Moyvane were the stronger team on the night, winning by 4 points. The u14s played Fires away on Good Friday but they lost to a stronger more experienced team, so well done again to all involved.
