Moyvane G.A.A. minors were defeated by Duagh in the final of the North Kerry league on Sunday last in Ballybunion. In a game in which the wind blew directly down field both sides fared poorly against it. Duagh had first use and while Moyvane defended well the crucial score was a well taken goal just before half-time. Duagh led at the interval on a score of 1-6 to 0-2. Moyvane were slow to get going with the help of the wind, but a goal by substitute Donacha Moloney with about twelve minutes remaining set up a grandstand finish. However the well organised Duagh defence held on to win on a score of 1-7 to 1-5.
