North Kerry Villages – Draft Plans:
Draft Plans for the North Kerry Villages which includes Moyvane may now be inspected at County Buildings in Tralee, Council Offices, Bridge Road Listowel & Ballybunion Library. These area plans will determine critical issues such as land-use zoning for the next eight years. It is important that landowners, community groups, etc. become involved in the process before Thursday 14th June when submissions will close.
Moyvane/Knockanure CCE:
The County Fleadh takes place in Milltown from 22nd – 24th June. All those wishing to take part should contact the Secretary with details within the next week. Please contact 068 49909 after 6pm. Please note that those intending to take part in the Fleadh Ceoil in any competition must pay their membership as soon as possible.
Moyvane ICA:
The ICA are knitting Patches to make Quilts for the children of Chernobyl. For this they need lots of wool. Anyone with unused or odd balls of wool – any colour, or anybody wishing to knit themselves please contact any I.C.A. member.
GAA – Fixtures:
Moyvane Juniors play Ballylongford in the Junior County League on Friday, 18th May at 8pm in Moyvane.
Moyvane Seniors play Ballydonoghue in the North Kerry League on Tuesday 22nd May at 8pm in Moyvane. Moyvane Seniors are also scheduled to play Listowel Emmets over the weekend so please check the fixture posters for further updates.
Coiste na nOg:
U12: The U12's made a great comeback from being behind by 3 points at half time to beat Spa B 1-17 to 1-4 in the CL on Sunday last. They play Knocknagoshel away on Sunday 20th at 7pm. The bus will leave the village at 6pm.
U14: The U14's beat Gneevguillia in their County League semi-final on Wednesday last. They now play Tarbert in the final which will be played in Ballylongford at 7:30pm on this Wednesday 16th May. Best of luck to the team and selectors.
Ladies Football:
Moyvane ladies were unfortunate to lose out in the final of the U12 North Kerry League on Sunday last. Many congratulations to the girls for reaching the final. Training is postponed this week.
Membership:
Membership is still open. €30 for players and €10 for non players.
Exam Mass:
A Mass for those taking exams this year will take place on Saturday 19th May at 8pm. On entering the Church, each student is asked to please put your name in the box provided. You are then invited to place a candle before the Altar for your intention.

Death:
The death took place recently of John Carmody, Ahalahana, Moyvane and late of Tarmons, Tarbert at Listowel District Hospital after a long illness. He was 69 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Monday last. He was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Tuesday last. He is survived by his wife Rita, sons, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
