THE Development Association are holding the third pub quiz at Hanrahan’s Bar on this Friday night. The Village Festival will get off to a great start with Stocktons Wing in concert on the opening night of the Village Festival on Friday, October 26. There will also be a Ceili and many other events at the Village Festival.

Bookings for use of the Community Centre and its facilities should be made through the caretaker or secretary at 49357.

The AGM of the Moyvane Fine Gael Club takes place this Thursday night October 11 at 9pm in the Community Centre.

Blotto: There was no winner of the £2,400 jackpot in the draw held during Listowel Races. The winning numbers were 2, 11, 12 and 26. Three people matched three numbers, and won £35 each. It is hoped to run a course on how improve the reading skills of children up to the age of 12. The course is free of charge and will take place in the Marion Hall for eight weeks one night a week for two hours, contact 068-49003.

GAA Juniors: Our juniors have qualified for the final of the North Kerry Intermediate championship which is hoped to take place this weekend. Players and supporters are asked to check local posters for definite clarification.

Under-21: Moyvane are down to play Beale in the first round of the championship on Sunday October 14 in Listowel at 1.30pm sharp. Due to the fact that our juniors will be playing players are advised to check posters or contact the secretary for their fixture.

Seniors: Our seniors received a bye in the first round of the championship so we must wait for the next round draw to know our quarter-final opponents. More details next week.

Night Classes on the new Euro will commence shortly for two nights per week at Riverside Workshop for anyone wishing to learn more about the conversion to Euro’s. If you wish to take part please hand in your name into the Workshop at Well Lane or phone 069-63077. All are welcome, classes are free.
