Moyvane Development Association?

Development Association members are over the moon since the Tidy Towns results last week. Up four points again from last year with a score of 254 they creeping closer and closer to the top. The adverse Winter and the "Summer Weather" made progress slow in some project areas so the result was all the sweeter. Thank you to the committee assisted by members of the Rural Social Scheme, Fás, Village Residents, Housing Development Committee and members of the Business Community. Congratulations and thank you for your dedication in making Moyvane worthy of the judges praise this year. Well done. Next up, The Annual Village Festival, October Bank Holiday weekend. Next committee meeting will be Tuesday, September 27th in the Marian Hall at 9pm.

Moyvane GAA:

Seniors: Moyvane seniors lost out to Beale in the Novice Shield semi final on a final score of Moyvane 0-9, Beale 0-11.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €4,200.  Numbers drawn were 17  26  30  31.  Lucky Dips: €40 each Derry Lynch c/o Pat Scanlon, Micheal McGrath, Ahalahana, Donal Kearney, Kilbaha, Jack, Micheal & Diarmuid Cahill, c/o Brosnan’s and Timmy Kennelly, Leitrim Middle. Next week’s Jackpot is €4,400 and the draw will take place in Enright’s Bar on Monday, September 19th at 10pm. 

Video Race Night: Don’t forget this Thursday night Moyvane GAA will hold their annual video race night in Brosnan’s Bar starting at 9:30pm. Come along and support your local club and enjoy a night out.

All-Ireland Final: Moyvane GAA would like to wish Tom O’ Sullivan and all of the Kerry team the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Final against Dublin on Sunday next. Ciarrai Abu!

U13’s: Congratulations to the Moyvane U-13’s who had an outstanding win over Tarbert last Friday evening. All players played their hearts out and a great level of skill and class was shown by everyone. Well done. The U-13 Tommy Madden NK draw has also taken place. Moyvane play Bally/Asdee in the first round.

Moyvane/Knockanure Comhaltas:
Traditional Irish Music classes with James Duggan at the Marian Hall will now start on Saturday, September 24th at 12 noon and not September 17th as previously stated.

Ballylongford/Tarbert CCE Classes 2011/2012:
Classes will resume in St Oliver’s National School Ballylongford in September. Beginners only – Friday September 23rd at 7pm. Classes for all pupils will resume on Friday, September 30th at usual times

North Kerry Reaching Out:
A genealogy heritage tourism project, will hold its next open meeting in The Seanchaí, Listowel on Tuesday, September 20th at 8pm. All welcome.

Knockanure GAA Lotto:
