Moyvane Development Association committee members wish to sincerely thank all those involved in their rescheduled Village Festival. Moyvane GAA:
Seniors: Moyvane’s North Kerry Championship campaign came to an end in Ballybunion on Sunday last when they lost to Finuge in the semi-final on a final score of Moyvane 1-5, Finuge 1-8. Moyvane were down 1 point at half time 0-4 to 0-5 and scored first in the second half to leave the sides level. A Finuge goal was cancelled out by a Paddy Curtin penalty, but 3 points from Finuge and some very tight defending saw them emerge victorious. Congratulations to the Moyvane team and management on a great run in the competition. U16s: Moyvane lost out to Asdee/Ballylongford in the Final of U16 Div 2 North Kerry Championship played in Ballybunion on Sunday last on a final score of Moyvane 0-8, Asdee/Bally 1-11. This result does not reflect the determination showed by Moyvane, who had a 1-point lead at half time 0-5 to 0-4. They never gave up the fight and had 2 goal chances in the final minutes. Congratulations to the team and management on reaching the final.
AGM: The AGM of Moyvane GAA will be held in the Marion Hall on Friday January 8th. Executive Officer nominations should be sent to the secretary, Micheal Walsh (087-9817883) on or before Friday January 1st.

Options for Adults:
‘Options for Adults’, the only dedicated education and training exhibition for adults in the Kerry region, is back. The Kerry County Development Board’s Learning Forum is hosting this year’s event in co-operation with a number of agencies in the county. The exhibition will take place on Monday, January 11th in The Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney. The event will be officially opened by Pat Falvey at 12noon. The exhibition will be opened to the public from 11am to 7pm.
Exhibitors will be present on the day such as the Institute of Technology, Tralee, University College Cork, Local Employment Services, Cork Institute of Technology, Limerick Institute of Technology, FAS, Kerry Education Service, Teagasc, Mary Immaculate College, Pitman Training, Kerry County Enterprise Board, Enterprise Ireland, and many more.
