Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games:
Congratulations to the boys U15 soccer team on winning silver medals at the county finals in Listowel on Sunday. The team was Colin Enright, Gavin Kennelly, Jack Harrison, James Fitzgearld, Gearoid Stack Mulvihill, Donal Stack, Shane Carmody and Jerry Clancy. Congratulations to coach Don Hannon on getting them to the final. Please note, the date for the Munster Final is March 31st, and not May 31st as stated last week. Next events are U8 to U16 Boys and Girls Art. U10 Boys and Girls Hand Writing. U15 Mixed Culture Corner. U14 Mixed Drama. U14 Recitation. U14 Quiz, mixed. Senior Badminton:
The Division 3 mixed  Saorcha Fitzgerald, Carmel Hudson, Jeanelle Griffin, Dermot Keane, Donnacha Moloney and James Sheehan defeated Kingdom 7-0 at home on Thursday last. Class 5, Donnacha Moloney, Pat Kearney and Timmy Duggan played on the Kerry Class 5 team at the weekend.

Juvenile Badminton:
At the Juvenile Club Tournament played in Killarney on Saturday Aoife Bowler U11 and Kevin Hudson U15/17 were finalists in their sections. In the Plate ;Grainne Stack Mulvihill won U11 and Ciara Hudson was Finalist. Boys Declan Sexton McEnery finalist U11, and Liam Greaney finalist U13. Next and final Competition for this season for this year is the Mixed Doubles Championships on February 25 in Killarney. Entries to be in by Tuesday 21st.

Moyvane GAA:
Membership: Club membership is now open at €40 for players and €20 for non-players and can be paid to any committee member. Membership will close for 2012 on Friday, March 23rd as members must be officially registered with Croke Park.
Club Lotto: The Club is continuing its successful Lotto subscription for the coming year. You have the opportunity to buy the Lotto for a yearly sum of €100, which gives you two free draws per year. For further details please contact any committee member.

Set Dancing: 

The West Limerick Set Dancing Clubs twentieth annual Workshop weekend at the Devon Inn, Templeglantine starts off on Friday, February 17th with a Ceili at 9pm with the Allow Ceili Band. Saturday 18th has Workshops from 10am to 1am and 2pm to 5pm followed by a Ceili at 9pm with the Striolan Ceili Band and on Sunday19th there will be a Workshop from 11am to 1pm. A Ceili at 2pm with Donie Nolan and Taylors Cross will finish off the weekend.

Scór na bPáistí:

Final reminder to you all of our dates for Scór na bPaistí. North Kerry Finals, Sunday February 26th at the Tintean Theatre, Ballybunion with a starting time of 3pm. County Semi Finals are as follows: South of Kerry 10/03/2012 at 4pm in Foilmore Community Centre. North of Kerry 11/03/2012 at 2pm in Currow. County Final will take place on Sunday, March 25th at 2pm in the Tintean Theatre, Ballybunion. Please note that in the Rince Seit Competition only Kerry Sets can be danced. In Trath na gCeisteanna the teams will be made up of 4 competitors and all questions will be team questions. The questions will be: 12 x 4 mark questions, 6 x 6 mark questions. The AGM. of Knockanure GAA. was held recently and  the following officers were elected: President Jackie McMahon. Vice Presidents: Fr. Tom McMahon, Fr. Brendan O’Callaghan and Fr. John Lucid. Chairman, Gerard Gteaney. Secretary, Joe Enright. Treasurer, Ann Woods. Youth Officer, Johnny Greaney. Scor Officers, Kathleen Reidy, Catherine Keane. Children’s Officer, Johnny Greaney. County Board Delegate, Patsy Lane.
North Kerry Board delegates Patsy Lane, Tom McMahon. All Membership must be paid by March 23rd, only paid up members will be entitled to tickets for the All Ireland.

Knockanure Community Centre:
Plans are underway for our third Annual Sponsored Walk to be held on Sunday, April 1st at 2pm. Sponsorship cards are now available at the Centre. This promises to be a fun packed day with entertainment for your children while you walk. Your support will be greatly appreciated to continue with the upkeep and running of our Centre, with a contribution made to Listowel Hospice. More details to follow.

Retreat:

Listowel Community College:

Listowel Community College will hold its Open Evening for Adult Learners on Thursday March 1st from 4pm-7pm. A large number of Post Leaving Certificate courses are on offer from Childcare, Business, Secretarial, Sport Recreation, Hairdressing, Furniture Making, Journalism, Horticulture, Cultural Heritage, Music, Community Care and many others. We have a VTOS programme for adults who have been out of education and wish to return to complete their leaving certificate or to participate in a PLC course. Enrolment for Post Primary will also take place Thursday, March 1st from 4pm-7pm. All staff will be available to answer all questions in relation to all programmes.
