Drive Safe for Life Programme:
The Shannonside No Name Club are holding a one-day programme dedicated to influencing young people’s approach towards learning to drive safely and passing their test, at the Community Centre Tarbert on Saturday, January 20th, starting at 9.45am and finishing at 3pm. Cost €5. Bring a
packed lunch. Tea, coffee and drinks will be provided. The presentations are given in an informal style encouraging interaction and provide the opportunity to discuss relevant points with the presenter.
The programme includes:
- Graphic results of reckless driving
- Seatbelts
- Mobile phones and driving
- Drink and drugs
- Speed kills
- Basic rules of the road
- Adopting the correct attitude
- Anticipation and hazard awareness
- Vulnerable road users
- Overview of Theory Test and how to apply for a provisional license
- Practical advice on driving lessons and insurance
- The practical Driving test
