Marian Hall Blotto:

Tommy Fleming:
Many of you will have travelled to Killarney to see Tommy Fleming, well now is your opportunity to see him on your own doorstep, you will not have to travel and it will cost you much less!  "An Evening with Tommy Fleming" will be held on Friday, July 9th in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. Make a note of the date, this is a concert you can’t miss, it’s an opportunity to enjoy one of Ireland’s most popular singers. Tickets are on sale in the local shops at €25 each and proceeds go to the Pallotine Father’s Missions. Takings from the raffle on the night will go to the Fr. Jerry Roche Memorial Trust. Fr. Jerry, who was from Athea was a member of the Kiltegan Fathers and I’m sure you will recall his murder in Kenya last December
 
Senior Citizens:
A fund raising Irish night will be held in Brosnan’s Bar on Friday night, June 18th at 9pm. There will be lots of local talent on display so come along, have a good time and help support your local seniors who have contributed so much to the community over the years. Tickets are only €3.

Cystic Fibrosis Summer Fundraiser:
A summer fundraiser aid of Cystic Fibrosis will be held at Kirby’s Lanterns Hotel, Tarbert on Saturday, June 19th starting at 7pm. This is a serious event with loads of good food and entertainment. You can enjoy a BBQ, featuring a spit-roast pig, dance to the live band, Escapade & Disco with DJ’s Excel & Fizzy. There will be Face Painting & Bouncy Castle for the younger generation and an auction for a signed Munster Jersey, a Boble Head Ray from the Ray D’Arcy Show and a painting from Irish artist Tony O’Connor, who of course has Tarbert connections. There will be a raffle for many, many prizes and all for only €15. Please support this very worthy cause.

Physiotherapy Centre:
A physiotherapy clinic has opened in Knockanure Centre. "First Step" is a branch of the Patrickswell clinic. If you would like an appointment call Sentil at 087 7777600. Cost of treatment is €50 for a one hour session.

Ploughing Match: 
Would you like to travel to this year’s event? A bus will leave Moyvane on Tuesday, September 21st at 5am for the Ploughing Match in Athy, Co. Kildare. Cost of bus, entry and evening meal is only €65. As entry is at a group rate tickets need to be booked and paid for immediately. Contact Eileen at 49337 before Sunday, July 4th.
