MOYVANE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION would like to wish everyone a Happy and safe Christmas. We hope that the New Year will bring an end to Covid 19 and lead to a healthier and stress-free environment for everyone. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who helped us in any way throughout the past year. A special thanks to all those who have made generous financial contributions to our organisation. This has been a great benefit to us in the absence of our normal fundraising events, in particular our Festival and Church gate collection. Further donations would be gratefully appreciated.
GOOD NEWS STORIES are a bit thin on the ground but last week we heard about Walsh Print in Castleisland providing houses for their workers. That reminded me of when Jerry Kennelly sold his company, Stockbyte to Getty images and all his staff got a golden handshake. This rarely happens. Congratulations to Tony & Patricia Walsh who are doing something that could be a game changer if other companies had the foresight to do it. When the Marian Hall did it’s “Moyvane 2000” fundraiser the company did all the printing.and at that point they were about to move from their home in Cordal to their new purpose built premises. They have come a long way since then. Money is only worth what it can do for you and there are many companies out there that could invest in their staff and they would be rewarded by the loyalty of their workers.
