MOYVANE COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND:

U11 Go Games: Well done to Moyvane U11s who won both their Go games in Duagh last Saturday beating Beale and Listowel. Moyvane will host the next round of games on Saturday, July 19th at11am.
John Egan U14 Tournament: Well done to Moyvane/Tarbert who competed in the John Egan U14 Football tournament on July 11th. (Moyvane players were Evan Flavin, Eamonn S. Mulvihill, Shea Leahy, Shane Quinn, Christopher Keane, Liam Greaney, Tadhg McEvoy, Fergal Leahy, Micheal Fogarty, Kieran Swan) The boys competed very well and after drawing level with Bishopstown, progression to the second round was decided by 30 Meter free taking which they won! The team then progressed to their fourth game in the afternoon against Na nGael who had more in the tank knocking them out of the competition. Many thanks to all the players and families who took care of the visiting team from Wexford, St John’s Volunteers for the two nights. St. John’s won their first three games taking them to the Semi Final of division 1, however they were unfortunate to meet Dulwich Harps of London who went on to win the final.
U16s:U16s are off to a good start in the county league winning their first two rounds beating Keel/Listry and Templenoe/Sneem/Derrynane. Fixtures:- Round3 v Glenflesk, away on July16th at 7.30pm .
CUL CAMP:
Moyvane will host this years CUL CAMP from July 21st to July 25th. Camps will run from 10am to 2:30pm, suitable for every child aged 6 -13yrs. Apply online at www.gaa.ie/kelloggscul-camps .
COMMUNITY GAMES:
Congratulations to the girls u15 badminton team who got finished runners up at the Munster Finals. The team was Ciara Hudson, Niamh Flaherty, Patrice Galvin, Marie Kennelly, Grainne Stack Mulvihill and Aoife Bowler. Well done to their coaches, Carmel Hudson and Diarmuid Keane as this was the last event in Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games, thanks to the parents and coaches who helped through the year.
LADIES FOOTBALL:
Thank you to everyone who supported last Sunday night’s concert and to all who donated spot prizes, a big thank you. The u12s will travel to Kenmare this week to play a County Semi Final and the u16s are through to a semi final also, date to be confirmed. Good luck to both teams. Old and used clothes collection is taking place on Saturday, July 26th at the Community Centre, Moyvane up to 11.00am. Bags can be dropped off also on Friday, July 25th between.00 and 8.00 pm. All unwanted clothes, shoes, handbags, curtains accepted. (No duvets/pillows). Old mobile phones also accepted. Thanks for the continued support.
SEANCHAI CENTRE:
The Seanchaí Centre, Listowel will start its ‘Living Literature’ drama performances as part of the tour of the Kerry Writers’ Museum on Wednesday, July 9th.
