THE finals of Cross County will be held in Farranfore this Sunday at 2.30pm. The girls U/13 indoor soccer will be held in Community Centre, Listowel at 6.30pm on Friday April 14. The U/16 girls basketball will be held in Lisnaw at 10am on April 15. Children over 10 years and under 12 years wishing to take part in the special activity weekend May 19 to 21, cost of weekend £38 plus transport £15 should give their names to Kathleen Galvin. The weekend consists of children taking part in activities i.e. basketball, rounders, football, soccer, boys and girls.
A youth creativity show will be held in the Marian Hall on Friday April 14 at 8pm. Adults £3 and children £1. The show will consist of music, dance, song and drama, with a comedy play called “Dopey Dan”. Everybody welcome. Come and see what the young people of the parish can do.
Moyvane-Knockanure gun club thanked everyone who supported them in their draw, especially all their sponsors. The winners were Philip Smith c/o Profile, Glin, Jeremiah Kennelly c/o Kerry Ingredients, Liam Nolan, Knockanure, and P.J. Nolan, Murhur. Proceeds will go to the re-stocking of birds which will be released in the coming weeks.
Moyvane G.A.A. Moyvane U/14 are playing Duagh in Moyvane on Monday night at 6.45pm in the county league. All players should be in the dressing room at 6.30pm. Moyvane lost their game against Castlegregory last week on a score of 6-9 to 1-4.
Under 16: Moyvane play Ballyduff in Ballyduff on Tuesday at 6.45pm in the North Kerry league. All players should be at Brosnan’s corner at 6pm.
Moyvane seniors were beaten by Ballyduff in the North Kerry league on Saturday. The fitter Ballyduff lads finished the better and won on a score 2-7 to 1-5. Next Sunday Moyvane play Valentia in the Millennium Cup in Moyvane at 2pm.
Moyvane minors had a good win over Cordal/Scartaglin in the county league on Friday last, on a score of 1-4 to 1-7.
Moyvane juniors are playing Brosna in Brosna in the North Kerry league at 7pm.
